A Message from Development Director Spencer Jacobs
Dear All,
Firstly on behalf of everyone at SUS may I wish everyone a healthy, happy, and prosperous new year.
Seattle Urban Squash now well into its 3rd academic year have managed once again to expand the number of children we serve, as well as the content of our program. The amount of volunteering our kids have been doing in the community has also increased. Projects we have been involved in includehelping out at a local food bank, working in a vegetable garden along with a recent visit to a senior center. Community service is in addition to the 4 times weekly academic tutoring, physical and squash training our underserved children receive.
In 2015 we managed to raise more money than ever before thanks to your wonderful support. We will be publishing our end of year accounts shortly. I am able to confirm that SUS is independently financially managed and recently examined by an external ethics committee. Pleased to state that both end of year reports found Seattle Urban Squash Foundation in first class order.
We are looking forward to an exciting year ahead and please look out for details of some fun events planned for the near future.
Once again wishing you all the very best for 2016.
